Teacher Training
Hello, I'm Dan McCaffrey.
Ten years ago I graduated in PE and Sports Science from Loughborough University. I followed this in 2002 gaining my PGCE in Physical Education, once again from Loughborough. For the first four years of my teaching career I taught PE in secondary schools, whilst also coaching the Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball Team.
In 2006 I left secondary education and started Pioneer PE, providing high quality PE lessons in primary schools as well as staff training for non-PE specialists. My training covers all aspects of the PE National Curriculum.
I have particular skill and experience working with teachers who have a basic level of teaching PE, such as trainee or newly qualified teachers, as well as those for whom their PE training is but a distant memory! I offer support and encouragement to enthuse staff, as well as providing clear, workable strategies to instantly improve their teaching. I can also offer training for more experienced teachers who want to extend themselves as well as their pupils.
